You convey to Kamiak Custom Imagery Reproduction your digital images and we print them. It is that easy. These digital images might be from your digital camera, scanned from photo prints, or the results of your scanned artwork. If you own the Copyright to the artwork, we can reproduce it for you.

Services

We make it streamlined for you to send us your images, and pay for your order. Here is how it works:

FIRST:

Place your order on this web site.
Then put your digital image on a disk (CD, DVD, Memory Stick) and mail it to us along with your order form; OR
Contact us and receive free access to our password protected Internet FTP site. You will be able to copy your files to the Internet storage location where we take it and move it to our file server. Your files will be deleted from the FTP site at that time.

SECOND:

We then move the digital image for processing through Onyx RIP Center software. This work-flow provides you with optimized file sizing to your desired media size and superior color management.
Your paper media selections are set on the printer;
Your digital images are then printed.

THIRD:

After printing, your print is "degassed". This process involves laying your print flat and covering with a porus paper for a period of 24 hours. This captures the excess gasses captured in the print. Prints which have not been degassed often will "cloud up" inside the frame when covered by glass.
Finally, your prints are rolled, placed in a sleve, and then put into a mailing tube, and sent via Priority Mail to you.

We stock Epson’s print media line of Premium Luster Photo Paper, and Enhanced Matte Paper in 16”, 24”, 36” and 44” widths. All of our paper options come on 100 foot rolls.

The use of Onyx RIP Center software is an important part of this work-flow process. By using this post-processing software your digital image resists pixelation during enlargement. This is commonly seen when an image is enlarged beyond its actual size to the point that its individual pixels are visible. Those look bad. But, with the Onyx RIP Software the image can be enlarged to a greater degree without seeing pixelation. It also gives better color matching between the digital original and the print. These look good.

Prices

When your digital image is printed, you will be charged based on the square footage of the print. Pricing is dependant on the paper you request.

We offer our services to people and businesses for the production of high quality digital images on exceptional media. Your digital prints can be conveyed to us on file media (CD, DVD, thumb drive, etc.) or over our secure Internet FTP site (user name and password protected). When your print is delivered, the source files are deleted. We are a family oriented business and retain the right to refuse printing of distasteful images.
